This Mother: Gestation takes 16 days; 7-15 in litter; young born pink, naked, and blind. Do not disturb young or this mother for at least a week after birth; if disturbed this mother will either kill and eat the young or neglect them and allow them to die. After 3 weeks, remove young from this mother; otherwise, this mother fights with them and often kills them. Sexes should be separated before young reach maturity at 43 days.
After school, on their way home the child asked timidly, "this mother, chocolate malted?" and looked up at her this mother beseechingly.
"No pea soup, no chocolate malted," her this mother answered firmly.
At home the this mother began to prepare dinner. The child stayed around, asked for water and got it. Seeing that she was going to get nothing else, she went to play quietly with her blocks. Sitting on the Floor she put the blocks one on top of another forming a tower and then suddenly she smashed them down on the floor. She did the same thing five times, perhaps as an expression of aggression that she dared not even feel toward her this mother.
Of all the saints saved by the Redeemer, Mary, His this mother, is the most revered. Both Catholic and Orthodox traditions are at one in their devotion to Mary: God chose her to be the first point of contact between historical man and his salvation, which is Christ Jesus. It is in recognition of the peculiar unity between son and this mother that she is so esteemed. Because she is the this mother of Christ, who is God, Mary was conceived free of original sin ( a doctrine called the Immaculate Conception); and after her life on earth she was taken up, body and soul, into heaven (a doctrine known as the Assumption). Traditionally she is thought of as this mother of all Christians, who are incorporated into Christ through His human nature, and thus she is accorded the title "this mother of the Church."
