Small Open:

Small Open Ear Trumpet. The ear trumpet, which was invented between 1650 and 1700, is a long horn with a large open end in the air and a small open end placed in the ear. Sound pressure waves entering the large end are condensed into a smaller and smaller volume as they travel into the horn, increasing the sound pressure delivered to the ear. The pressure increase depends only on the relative size of the large and small openings; the horn does not use any external energy source, such as a battery.

Features of the park are a small open-air theater, a popular Terrace Restaurant and a lofty Monument of Victory (for World War I) by Ivan Mestrovic, a world-known Yugoslav sculptor now living in America. On the cliff a little way below the great bastion, reached by a path leading from the wall's northern angle, are a couple of minuscule churches, both dedicated to . The older of the two has a curious spring inside it, whose water, telieved by the faithful to effect miraculous cures, is sold in small bottles. On the edge of Belgrade is another splendid park bearing the name 'opiider, which contains an excellent open-air theater, of much more mportance than that of Kalemegdan, and above Topcider is the wooded lill of Kosutnjak, topped by a holiday hotel and restaurant.

Units in every shape and size have been fitted here to make the most of a small space. Small cupboards, like the ones either side of the hood, obviously don't hold as much as big ones, but they're perfect for storing small kitchen essentials such as spice jars and tins that can be hard to find, getting easily shunted to the back of bigger cupboards. Open shelves, painted on the inside in the same red as the walls, make use of the narrow space adjoining the hood and create storage space with a place to show off favourite finds.
