Old House Shake:

Old House Shake If things seem to him to b getting a bit dull he likes to bawl out a waiter or two with a roaring the makes the old house shake. It is part of his act and means nothing. Most c the patrons love it—and him. It is generally conceded that when Pande finally dies, this restaurant will die with him.

There are also notable examples of with an atrium (an interior court surrounded 1$ rooms). Some of these are of relatively ancie construction, such as the House with the Wood Partition, the Samnite House, and the House -5^51 Neptune and Amphitrite. Of unusual design £jt(,er the great villas in the southern part of the ci including the House of Argo, the House of t Hostelry, the House of the Mosaic Atrium, a the House of the Deer. In these houses the t ditional plan is modified. The peristilia (cole naded courtyards), the gardens, reception haj and other rooms were oriented toward the sot in order to take advantage of the view towa the sea.

Propeller: Inspect the prop minutely. If it is even slightly nicked or dented, send it to the shop for rework and balancing. Prop shaft: Inspect the shaft, looking for bends or scoring. Check zincs and replace if necessary. Struts: Physically shake the prop-shaft struts to make sure they are secure and tight to the hull. Strut bearings: Shake the prop shaft in the strut bearings, seeking excess looseness. Slight clearance is OK; if you're in doubt, get an expert opinion. Prop replacement: Mount prop hub on taper snugly; don't let it ride up on the key and get off center. Shaft log: Be sure the shaft log is well bedded to the hull and secured to the boat's bottom. Tighten the fastenings; they may loosen as the bedding compresses. Stuffing box: If the box dribbles, tighten the gland nuts slightly. Don't over-tighten.
