Teachers Role: I had asked that we give parents the right (generally neglected) and the machinery to report to us on their child's progress. We wanted the parents to see themselves as teachers role and also to be aware that we saw them clearly in this role and would value their comments on the work they did at home. Again, the teachers role who undertook this area of work produced something that proved remarkably effective.
Social factors, like parents, teachers role and peers, play a strong role in influencing children's attitudes and behaviour. Adolescents are particularly guided by friends, while younger children are most influenced by parents, other family members and teachers role (Sallis 1995). Toddlers have been found to be especially influenced by parental encouragement for physical activity (Klesges et al. 1986). |
