Parental Involvement In The Teaching Of Reading: Although co-operation over reading is the specific focus of the book, its overall 'message' is intended to be much wider. Our real concern is with Parental involvement in the teaching of reading involvement in children's education in a much more general way, though not in the sense in which this is usually understood. We are all familiar with the kind of Parental involvement in the teaching of reading involvement schools often foster, in which parents are asked to take an interest in the school's general welfare and to give support to its non-academic and 'extracurricular' ventures.
'Over the years I have worried that children I send to die juniors from my infant school have not been reading well.
