Lose Money: What can you lose? If you go in for sports photography you will have the best seat in the house for every event at no cost to you, you will make friends with a great many famous athletes and find that in general they are mighty good company. You will also earn at least a little money, right from the start, while enjoying yourself.
GRESHAM'S LAW, gresh'amz, in economics, is usually stated as "bad money drives out good." The law stems from the fact that money has a value both as money and as a commodity in the open market. The former value is set arbitrarily by law and is relatively fixed; the latter is determined by supply and demand and varies from time to time, "Good money" has a higher value as a commodity than as money and will disappear from circulation.
Even before science makes weather, it must learn to predict accurately. When this happens, we foresee a rash of lawsuits to suppress the information. Would the tourist bureau on Cape Cod want visitors to know what the weather will be like during the next weekend? If the prediction is for bad weather, no one will come and the merchants will lose money; but if the prediction is good, the crowds will swamp facilities that otherwise would stand empty.
