Child Care Of Parents:

Child Care Of Parents This definition is problem-focused, emphasizing prevention and remedy. It recognizes the value of strengthening a child care of parents's own home where possible. Where this is not possible, a variety of substitute living situations is provided. child care of parents welfare services are directed to the social problem of deprivation of parental care. As the accompanying chart illustrates, they are designed to help with society's child care of parents-rearing task in three important ways: (1) to substitute for parental care either partially or wholly according to a child care of parents's individual needs; (2) to supplement the care that a child care of parents receives, or to compensate for certain inadequacies or limitations in parental care; and (3) to support or reinforce the ability of parents to meet their child care of parentsren's needs.

Sometimes they have a better relationship with their grandchild care of parentsren than they did with their own child care of parentsren because they have the advantage of perspective on two or more generations. Many grandparents have supplied the love and care that child care of parentsren so sorely need. They relieve the mother of some of her housekeeping burdens. But they are a liability when they take over the role of the parents, alienate the child care of parents from them, use outmoded methods of child care of parents care, over-restrict the child care of parents's natural activity, or cause conflict and tension in the family (71, 1954).

This service is especially effective with parents of child care of parentsren under six years of age. Many parents welcome this opportunity to discuss a variety of situations: how to help a child care of parents make the transition from home to school; how to prevent a child care of parents from feeling extreme jealousy when a new baby arrives; how to help the child care of parents accept the death of a beloved grandparent; how to prepare the child care of parents for a long separation from his father. The workers take care not to give pathological interpretations to essentially normal behavior.
