And Small Reptiles:

And Small Reptiles Living reptiles, however, represent but a small fraction of the great class that dominated the habitable globe in the Mesozoic, an era extending approximately over a hundred million years. During this period reptiles successfully filled most of the niches in sky, sea, and small reptiles on land small reptiles that .were later to be occupied by their descendants—the birds and small reptiles mammals—as the cohorts of diverse and small reptiles frequently bizarre-looking reptiles were vanishing from the earth.

Lizards and small reptiles snakes are subject to certain species of parasites and small reptiles to various diseases. The reptiles of a given locality naturally develop a reasonable amount of immunity to these difficulties, but specimens brought in from other localities transmit their parasites and small reptiles diseases which generally prove fatal to the local reptiles.

The class of reptiles is divided into four groups called orders. The first order is made up of members now extinct with the exception of a single living species, the tuatara of New Zealand small reptiles, which is lizard-like in form but differs from all other living reptiles in its anatomy. The other three orders are the lizards and small reptiles snakes, turtles and small reptiles tortoises, crocodiles and small reptiles alligators (Crocodilians).
